Deer hunting BS thread

My ole bud from the shop at work stopped by to compare season sucess. they have a honey hole 450 acres that they bring off a ton of good bucks every year. its just the perfect piece of land. Killed 5 @130” bucks. and his son killed this one. What a beautiful buck.

Tried to order some turkey shells and some 30-O6 online and places will not ship to New York . This state sucks and my wife will only move south to Carolinas if we do . Pennsylvania would be far enough for me .

 

I have a friend who moved to Buffalo from Georgia. He was unable to take his handgun bc of all the strict laws.

 

NY really sucks

 

Waking up today with no deer season and college football being over. Feels like I lost two good friends for 8-9 months

Well, the youngins are into shed hunting mode. they enjoy that as much as hunting sometimes i think. this one needs shot to get it out of the gene pool in my opinion

 

Here is the deer the shed was from,there is a ladder stand just behind him in the woods thats a good stand

 

If i can get chumps to show up im going to open this up...at some point. Not much acerage but would make it look nice

season is out brother.LOL,some of the big ones we never got this year are showing back up on camera as usual. alot of pics bucks have broken up antlers this time of year. they really drop heavy here in late Jan. early Feb.we can feed when season is out. so youngins pack the feed out with cameras on it. and get tons of buck pics and some with both,then a day later same buck with one. then they backtrack the main trails lookin for antlers. got to admit they find alot.I go once in a while with them

Best thing I did 20 yrs with my brother and 2 other buddies was to buy 200 acres of hunting land in Maine. Very rural, no electricity and we made our own shower/bathroom out of a handicapped porta john that we attached to our shipping container camp.

 

Heck no that buck could be pretty freaky if he’s not mature now. Also he could have good genetics and just had an injury.
