radar control isn't terrible, i tried it last time i took the truck on the highway, it worked as expected, not impressed enough to care, or disappointed enough to say anything..

how did you permanently turn off traction/vsc? i'd love to do that, but maintain ABS. really tired of fully stopping and press-holding for the 30 seconds or whatever. otherwise, all the other options my '18 either doesn't have, or are already turned off/not used. next would be to convert my 4dr long bed to a manual, then i'd be really happy with the truck...

***yes, i actually wanted a 1980 tacoma, but living in indiana, they all turn to rust in 2 winters. my other car is a 2014 brz, which is also the newest-oldest, most bare-bones vehicle i could buy. my very first rule with any vehicle purchase is that i need to be able to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. i won't consider a vehicle without that functionality.

i was born in the 80's, but i would absolutely love a time machine ride to 1970 if anyone's got one. these days, i guess i'm a millennial-boomer. now stay off my damn lawn!***

Who on earth… aside from the OP… is turning off radar cruise???

I understand it’s not something to always use. But in this slug of a truck; it’s nice to not think about it… and the mileage is usually way better.

    What is going on here?

Have we entered tin foil hat territory?

Sorry, I was too busy utilizing modern technology that would not work well wrapped in tin foil.

    I don’t regret it.

If your 2nd Gen is equipped with an immobilizer, and you wrap the key in foil, it won’t start.
Really, it won’t. But that’s a different story.

    I was watching tv

Would take quite a bit of tinfoil to wrap that thing.

    Wrap the remote in foil.
That way you can’t turn it on.

    Thank me later.

This is America, so I guess getting up and manually tapping the “on” button is too much to ask? :oldglory:

Turning any TV on in general, is a bad idea.
Unless you like fear, panic, chaos, and confusion?
If so, watch all you want.

Or just browse TW. It’s about the same.
