    it's a 2-story post today

many years ago, my dad was working with a builder to develop a subdivision. people were always throwing random trash in the developments dumpsters.

one day, he took a few things out to the dumpster and found one of those 4' tall stuffed teddy bears in there.

after the builder went home for the day, he put it in the model houses bathroom, sitting on the toilet.

builder comes in the next morning, doesn't turn any lights on, needs to hit the bathroom before opening up the model house. he opens the door, see's the shadow of something on the toilet in what was supposed to be an empty model house!

he jumps back, and grabs his cigarette lighter. peering around the corner with the lighter, he goes back into the bathroom to see what nearly caused his heart attack, and finds the bear.

my dad never heard the end of 'how he tried killing the builder' for a few weeks.

later on, we were visiting my dad for lunch and got a Teletubby plushie keychain thing in one of our happy meals. it ended up clipped to the builders trucks rearview mirror, where it stayed for the next 4+ years well after the subdivision was completed.

one of my brother-in-law's is a farmer. for a while he was working for another farmer, running the bee wagon between fields(to pollinate the fields). the bee wagon was a 4-wheeled wagon, with big white beehives on it.

at the time, he drove a white gmc truck.

i was talking to him at an event once, about how it must suck to have to be up in the middle of the night to move a trailer around like that. he just starts laughing and says "but the best part is i can go as fast as i want!"

the one night he was moving the trailer and happened to be running a lot faster than the local roads allowed (backroads are 30mph around here, no local drops below 50 in farm country).

the local sheriff was watching the road, so gave chase.

my brother-in-law pulls over, with his truck and beehives.

as the trooper approached, the bees, not being able to tell the white truck from the white hives, swarmed to the truck to be close to 'home'.

the trooper just yelled from a distance, "go, go, just keep it slower next time!" and went back to his car to get away from the bee's.

Thought it was a TA at first glance, should have known with the separate marker it was a Camaro. Looks to be a ‘79 Z28 from a half view.

Few more pics..the creme Mustang was a 66 289 gt k code car, the black was a numbers matching 66 or 67 gt 350. Overall we saw lots of C10 chevy and gmc trucks lifted and lowered going for big money along with a lot of 60's Broncos. 65 and newer Chevelles are getting out of hand...numbers matching big block 70 454 cars are 200k+. I saw an 83 box chevy truck go for 210k, custom paint, big motor on bags but still...

Gorgeous 442s, surprised not Hurst considering favorability by most. Always liked the white/gold on the vert.

Any one want these endmills. I bought them from a school auction out of excitement. They are mostly HSS. A couple good ones but the rest you can tell they where used is a college machine shop.

Pay for shipping and there yours. I could probably fit them into small flat rate box. Wrapped in bubble wrap of course
