AD285C94-2E87-41B5-9858-36AFBD93E2D4.jpg Hey everyone here is my 2022 TRD OR I bought a couple months ago. Mostly trying to learn how to treat this truck right. I like to do mild to moderate off roading but this is also my daily driver. I’m coming from a Land Rover and finding the factory set up isn’t quite as good as what I’m used to as far as clearance goes, so I’m hoping to find the best way to lift the truck but not ruin its daily function.

Land Rover to a Taco, that's quite an adjustment.

Bigger tires is the only way to increase overall minimum clearance. Tacomas are pretty limited in tire size without a bit of work. Depends how much work you're willing to do and/or your budget.

Suspension lifts can give you some extra breakover angles but won't increase overall clearance.

Getting rid of those side steps will at least give you extra clearance in that area.

I’ve seen the Bilstein in some of the threads, but I do like the factory ride. Is it pretty comparable in your experience?

I’ve looked at some different set ups, I see Toyota does a factory lift and OME has a 2.5 inch. I don’t want to lose my adaptive cruise and I don’t wanna drop more than 2k on a lift.

I'm still on stock suspension and tires, but from what I've researched and read the 6112/5160 with c rated tires is the closest to factory ride quality. I have ridden in a 3rd gen with 5100's and those are stiffer than stock, but not harsh by any means. I'd imagine the 6112/5160 combo would be very similar.
