keeping ya on your toes. the photos I posted are from the hobby lobby site. Just getting a general design idea from it.

 

Don’t know a ton about sycamore but I do know that i loved it for bowdrilling when I taught primitive skills.

I bring that up to say even if it’s categorized as a hardwood it’s still fairly soft

 

They grow all over the place here and they're so beautiful. I'd love to use some for something.

 

I finally getting close to being done with a stereo stand for my daughter. Just did the final glue up!

A bit, but then I went for the drum sander, then the 125 to take it to 180 grit. I’m liking what I’m seeing so far!

I gave my daughter the choice of either solid walnut, or the stripes. She chose the stripes, curly maple and cocobolo. I’m liking that combination more than I thought I would.

 

Whats the wood in middle?
