[Not sure if this post is in the right place, please let me know and I will delete and move]

    Hey everyone,

Long story short, I want to do a brake flush / bleed on my 2017 Tacoma. Generally no big deal, I do all my other cars [they are old] but this is the first time I am dealing with a hydraulic actuator system the 2017 has instead of what I am used to seeing. [See picture]

I have done my research and the closest thing I can find on a procedure is a 4Runner. Nothing specific to the truck, but its the same hydraulic air system.

Question: Whats the procedure with this thing? Anything I should know or I am over thinking it?

    Concerns:
    1. I have the Holt Pressure Brake system from Harbor Frieght 2. Want to make sure I get everything out the abs system as well.

    Notes:

    1. I have stoptech BBK upfront
    2. Stainless lines

    Thanks for the help/guidance!

Looks like you have an Offroad/Pro. You can bleed the front brakes like normal. For the rear you need the key on and a pedal operator. While you hold the brake pedal and crack the rear bleeder brake fluid should be pumped out by the system continuously.

If you need to bleed more of the system upstream you will need Techstream to actuate all the solenoids.

@ShimStack Thanks for the reply. That is what I was thinking after seeing this youtube video

The one thing I was wondering...Is that even with the Pneumatic/Vacuum tool from Harbor Freight. I got it so I don't need the partner in crime in the truck.

Should be able to wedge something on the pedal, key on engine off. Just don't run the reservoir dry! and you wont have to worry about air in the ABS module

That tool will do you zero good on the rear. You must actuate the brake pedal to get fluid out the rear.
