On my 2021 SR5 I have the stock 245/75/16 FS Dest LE2's. When I corner at a decent speed I get a lot of tire roll. This never happened in my '04 Taco but it has 265/70/16's on it. Is this just a characteristic of the narrower tire? If so, I think I'll eventually upgrade to the 265's.

It's just the nature of a midsized truck, a big upgrade that isn't talked about much is adding a rear sway bar.

I only notice my 245s because they are winters, but typically there's not much difference in handling, it's not that much wider.

Higher tire pressures helps with the feel of the tire as well.

The 245-75 is a tad narrower and has a slightly taller sidewall than the 265-70 which causes that softer feeling when cornering; totally normal.

I get that same feeling swapping to 265-75-16 from 265-70-17

If you’ll speed up just a tad when you start feeling it roll they will break loose…then you can drift

The LE2's are a pretty soft tire to begin with. Compparing apples to apples from my 265/65/17 LE2's tp my 255/70/17 P rated bloizzaks. The Blizzaks are a noticeable (not harsh) stiffer sidewall in handling and over sharp bumps. With the small bumps there is less bounce and jiggle.

Sidewall height and construction will influence the handling stiffness more than treadwidth.
