All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
That’s at my house in NC above Asheville.

General makes a great tire. I love my x3s. They are soft as all get out, but they are a superior off-road tire. They also do well on road.

Do any of these give better MPG's on 2nd Gen or is it just better throttle response? My 2015 gets like 16MPG avg and that's with 265/75/16 Duratracs, sliders, and a RTT. It seems like I went from 19 down to 16 in a matter of weeks once the mods got bolted on.

a lot of the guys w 3rd gens have seen mpg gains, but I don’t have much feedback from second gens regarding mpg.

3 seems like a big loss for sliders and an rtt

That's mostly the RTT if I had to guess. Sliders would have basically no effect on mpgs. Your tires aren't significantly bigger either. Unless you are camping constantly, take the tent off when not in use.

Yeah, I'm working on that. Problem is where to store it out of the elements when it's off the truck.
Yeah everything kind of came together all at the same time. RTT, bed rack, roof rack, tent, tires all went on in the span of a few months and it just killed my highway mileage. I still get about 300miles to a tank but that's a far cry from the 420 I got when she was stock :burnrubber:.

shoot my truck was getting 16 stock. Now I’ve got sliders, front a rear bumper, upgrade leafs, bed cover, bed rack, accessories, rtt, awning, 33” tires, roof rack, pelican box, winch, ect ect.
I’m at like 14-15 mpg with a tune and all that (regear also assisted partially)

but I know guys with the same truck stock that were getting 19-21mpg. Mine was a dog.

With a tune from @Stormpeacock on my 3rd gen Tacoma pulling a trailer and 37/1350/17 stt pros I got 12 mpg coming back from windrock this weekend. I have 529 gears and all the armor you can get carrying all my tools and gear in the bed not including the trailer. I highly highly recommend the tune over all else. I was getting 12mpg with 35s and no trailer before.

What's the status on the tundra build? I'd be down to help with the build. I think it would be fun.

Ooohhh flat bed going on the Tundy?
Either or, flat beds/removable canopy are my ideal setup for any truck. Just lack the funds and/or skill set to build my own.

    Those MITS are tits.
