A little something every chance we get.
Borla S type singe cat back. Authentic start up announcement, very quiet burble otherwise. Stomp it and you know it's a V6. No drone, quiet cruising.

As many others have stated, OEM TRD. I was going back and forth on what exhaust setup. Pulled the trigger on an OEM TRD and have been very happy with it.

Im another trd owner.im very happy with the sound. I think there is a slight drone but I installed some sound deadening to make the cab quiter. $370 at the dealership and I would buy new spring bolts and gasket3DAD712D-CEF1-4734-AE00-CB9F93CE0DC5.jpg7CB7E4F2-E608-4532-8B7E-EBD1F6D2464E.jpg

Love my TRD and do replace gasket and spring bolts as TACOMA2NDGEN stated.
TRD is the Goldilocks exhaust in my opinion, for those that want something louder than stock but not obnoxiously loud either.
Looks good, sounds good, nuff said.

The 4.0 sounds like ass no matter what. It just depends what kind of ass you like. I have a cheapo MBRP on mine which I really like the sounds of and have gotten compliments on from other non-Tacoma owners (still sounds like ass though lol).

If you want some sound, but only "on demand" look into an intake system or drop in filter. I like intakes because they only get loud when you put your foot into it. You can sill cruise around quietly, versus and exhaust that makes noise all the time. With all that said, the 4.0 is pretty darn loud with an intake, so it might not be for everyone.

    Still figuring it out…
Is this the correct part number for the TRD exhaust? Some Toyota websites say this part number won’t fit but other websites stating it does. The part # is PTR31-35131. 2014 dcsb.

Has anyone found a good place to purchase a TRD exhaust online?
I have found some in the $3-400, then during check-out they hit you with a $200 shipping fee.
Priced it at my local dealer for $580.

I have been looking to replace my original exhaust and found the stock factory exhaust is more expensive than the TRD.

I found it for $425 out the door but I have to drive an hour and a half to the dealer that Toyota can have it shipped too. Sucks Toyota can’t ship it to a closer dealer. I called the same dealer and was told $495+, my local dealership I called wants $525+. The dealerships mark them up. I’m still debating on what to do…go that route or get a super 50 muffler

Mine came with a TRD exhaust that the previous owner put on, I'm happy with it as I like to be able to hear it a bit when I get on it, but not too much since v6s just dont sound great to me. I don't notice any drone at all, but I'm also coming from a subaru with a cannon that rumbled like crazy and left you with ears ringing after more than an hour on the highway lmao.

    wow,
it's almost like it has no appeal anymore compared to MBRP which is half the price, possibly better material, with a cool turndown tip for clearance that removes the need to hackjob it yourself with cutters

Anyone know if the black TRD tip can be purchased separately? (Part number?)
Would be a a nice practical and aesthetic upgrade to replace the muffler and just the tip. :mudding:leaving the existing pipes intact.upload_2023-1-17_19-24-34.jpg
