I bought some LED (only brake light LED) tail lights last year on ebay.
I've had some issues in the last few months with the left-hand brake light (not the illumination light, just brake) working about 25% of the time. I took apart the brake light connector and tested with an incandescent bulb in the connector and it worked perfectly all the time. I don't think the LED itself is the problem (as I believe LEDs are all or nothing excluding wiring issues).
It looks like the issue is a poorly made connector (from the OEM connector into the housing to the LED itself), and it looks like it isn't making good contact when seated.

Anyways, I'm thinking of just staying away from LEDs entirely. The only ones I can ever find are cheap and most likely extremely poor quality.

I am still open to actual high quality LED tail lights, but what are peoples recommendations for some incandescent tail lights. I couldn't find much in the way of OEM product anywhere.
