Random reving

I have about 1 500kms on my 2023 and it's having some strange reving issues. I'm a little iffy on reving issues cause I has a Saturn that would max rev when you put it in park and they could never find the problem .. I starting shutting it off before putting it in park which caused its own issues .. anyways ..

I was in my truck playing with the dashcam and the truck just starting reving upto about 2500 rpms stayed there for a couple seconds .. kinda shuddered and returned to normal idling .. I tried it again and it's doing the same thing .. haven't tested it out on the road yet while coming to stops and such .. it was in my garage so fairly warm temp in there..

 

Most likely cycling due to running warm

 

2500 rpms randomly is not normal. Take to dealer.

 

I didn't think so either.. I have to call them anyways to have a driver's side handle grab installed .. I'll get them to look at that too.. thanks just wanted to know i wasn't being overly paranoid

 

how many miles are on the truck? what kind of dash cam and how is it wired up? could be an electrical issue.

Yeah my truck came with a passenger grab handle dle but not drivers side one .. I need something to grab to get up into the truck .. I'm short and fat .. lol!!

 

They only make aftermarket driver’s side grab handles as far as I know, I doubt the dealership would install something like that. Maybe I’m wrong but just a heads up.

 

Called the dealership and they said the part is universal from passenger to drivers but they doubt there is any mounting stuff under the pillar.. and because the part is color coded there are restocking fees if it doesn't work .. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do here ..

 

mmm...so there telling you that the right A pillar cover and handle will fit on the drivers side

 

Pro-Tip from another fellow short fat guy... Use the steering wheel.

I have factory step rails and yet I'm still fat, wonder what my service manager will have to say about this!!

Thanks! I had rock sliders but just got rid of them because I’m going a different direction with my build. Side steps would probably get ripped off on something lol
