Yup, tried bead sealers too. All the rims seem to leak at different rates but all slooow. I'm inclined to think it is the tires except they had one leaking prior to replacement.

And at this point I'm curious to see if anyone has ever tried sealing their rims. I know some alloys have been replaced for leakage through the material, so willing to go there if dismounting again.

Mmmm I wonder if something like a motorcycle tank sealer would work?

    Friday?

This is odd, hard to believe and the shop that mounted tires must have left shmegma all over lol!

I gotta see these wheels, all 4 with no tires mounted and untouched. They gotta be either damaged or are corroded to hell..

That sounds better than anything I've thought of so far.

I have only seen one rim I could not clean up for a seal.
Wish I had them suckers here to inspect…

X2 I had chrome rims on my old Bonneville, never chrome rims again. Sanding the rims solved the problems, at least until we traded it in. From my research powder coating, the inside rim bead, could also be an option to look at.

Not sure it would be an economical solution but perhaps a powder coater would do the inside of the rims. That should seal up any leaks.

It still sounds implausible to me though. If it's not the bead or valve stem sealing surfaces, my next thought would be a crack. In which case I'd be shopping for replacement rims.

Are these solid one piece rims? I'm guessing they are, but if they are not . . . .

Wife has a 2011 Rav4 stock rims that had a slow leak, in this case it **was** enough to show in the dip tank but never would have suspected this. It was leaking from the inner rim weld. I saved the rim but wouldn't trust it to any kind of sealer, someday I'll see if someone can weld it up with any reliability. Kinda tight in there.

I feel like if a wheel actually leaked air the shop would find a crack and be unwilling to install a tire on it. Just sayin'...

Dumb question - have you checked that the valve cores are tight? I would sure hope a tire shop checked it, but you never know.

I had a '95 Ford truck tire with an aluminum rim - and the leak would only show a bubble after over an hour in a total immersion tub - forced under an held there (at max inflation pressure). I think they had to polish the bead seats of the wheel to get it to finally stop.
