    Hey everybody,

I’ve spent the day swapping out my 600lb springs to 700lbs, and something strange came out of the second shock i was working on. while cleaning up the bearing and misalignment spacer on the rod end, there were what looked like copper threads sticking out from the ball, so i grabbed some tweezers and 2 pieces of some sort of copper or brass mesh material, almost fabric like, came out. i have no idea what this is, or if it’s supposed to be in there, or if it was, what i do now that it’s broken apart and came out. any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Stuff and junk and things...

That's the Teflon liner. You need new bearings ASAP! They are now metal on metal and will make a ton of noise and eventually wear through if you don't replace them.
