I've been watching Chloe Kuo on You Tube and tried a couple of her easy Mod's. I thought we had the same Gen-3 Type Toyota. Mine is a 2019 Limited.

Both Mod's delivered the wrong size product.

Small LED bulbs for overhead light. Wrong size. The N3 bulbs didn't even fit the makeup lights....

Also, tried installing 2 new dash tweeters and those had the wrong harness or connection (I didn't purchase a harness).

Lastly, since I already have the Upgraded JBL sound system.... maybe new speakers aren't even needed??

Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes. The JBL system has different connectors than the non-JBL. The Subaru / Kick upgrade only works for non-JBL units.

It all comes down to what you want. And not everything you see on YT is true! Listen to the radio. If you like it, keep it. If you don't like it, learn what you have and see what options are out there to upgrade.

VLED makes a kit for the interior lights. Or you can order from tacoma lifestyle or extreme terrain who specialize in tacoma products.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

is there a better AMP that has the same connections and size as the one my truck has??

I would like to upgrade the Bass without redoing my whole backseat.

The JBL sub sucks. The best thing people have been doing is taking the door panels apart and putting batting around the door speakers and then putting some in the sub enclosure. That will help get a little more low range from them. Search on here for Sub upgrade and you will learn.

there are better tweeters than the subaru ones, and cheaper too. not sure why everyone nuts for the subi's. unless they happen to have an unused subi in their yard it's not worth it and not even the best option, CERTAINLY not the cheapest...just fyi

jbl uses speakers with different resistance than whats most usual I believe...like 2ohms as opposed to the normal 4??? don't quote me on that, but that's really the only thing that makes it "harder" to upgrade, fewer folks sell that...same with the amp. and I believe that variant on both tends to be more expensive. but if you've matched the resistance and wattage you should be good. I think the most popular thing is to remove all jbl stuff so you have more options...don't quote me on that either
