Gone to the beach a bit but nothing excessive and only had the truck in the snow a few times.

I live in Pinellas County. A peninsula on the peninsula of Florida. Salt water on 3 sides, though very limited beach driving available here. I have done so numerous times to launch my kayaks in the bay. No more than 4 miles from saltwater anywhere you live.

My '13 has bits of surface rust here and there. Almost none on the frame though. I won't say the frame is factory fresh, but it's still all black and all the stickers are in place and legible. And the only undercarriage wash it's had is rain water from the roadways.

I agree with others. Much higher risk of other shenanigans that damage the truck in LA than frame rust.

I agree, but to be fair, should OP need a new frame, he or she could simply steal one without fear of prosecution.

This is the one situation where you hope a rusted frame is the worst of your concerns
