Just wondering if anyone has ever used Meguiars PlastX or Meguiars #10/17 plastic polish to clear up scratches on the head unit screen.

I’m specifically wondering about the matte finish “soft” screens on the 2nd gens, and not the shiny hard 3rd gen screens.

I’d imagine the polishes would work fine on 3rd gens. Not so sure about 2nd gens.

Thanks for the heads up. The products I mentioned above are micro-abrasive polishes. And after seeing your linked post… I conclude that an abrasive polish is absolutely NOT the right approach for this type of touch screen.

***Update: I contact Meguiar's customer service and explained the situation. They were VERY receptive to the feedback and concern regarding the damage. That said, they will cover the cost of the new screen and screen protector, totaling $110.53. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!***

Have you determined how to replace the screen? It’s only $110 !?!
