So, i am going from a 18 Offroad LB Silver to the 23 Offroad LB Silver (chg is overrated:) plus i can transfer all my shit from the old to the new) sometime in a couple of months as I just got a build date. I am going to be set for another 4-5 years and will get to avoid the entire begining of the Turbo Gen, which is good risk management, i think.

Anyway, to the actual point of my post: I am looking at the data on the new 23, and I see a reference to their partnership with JBL. I end up on the JBL website where they describe their partnership with Toyota as below. So now in my 18 (with JBL) the stero is ok but i certainly dont feel anything in my "core" except gas once in awhile, so is this a musical upgrade i should be looking forward to? To those of you with 23's and JBL systems do you have: "dynamic sound you feel in your core"?

    TUNED FOR YOUR RIDE
In 1996 JBL and Toyota teamed up with one very distinct mission: to bring the sound of legendary concerts and rock tours to your ride. In a custom blend of art and science, we select, place and fine-tune each speaker to the interior of the vehicle. Hundreds of hours of dedicated work and precision adjustments go into the development of each JBL Toyota system. The result is dynamic sound you feel in your core.

If that's what you want, I installed a 10" hideaway under the driver's seat.

Having a sub firing directly up your bunghole makes you very much feel the sound in your core.

    Take that, JBL.

I knew there was a reason the girlfriend likes the passenger seat.

JBL system is literal garbage and makes it more complicated to upgrade, which you'll absolutely want to do once you hear it.

JBL sounds better than standard equipment and that's all.
It's not a high end system. It's not putting out clean power. It's still a factory offered stereo.
It would have to be a shallow mount "sub" at best and it is still starved of air space.
But, this is enough for some or most buyers.
Improve the electrical system, add some clean, powerful amps, upgrade the wiring and thw speakers and get a ported sub box with some volume and you will start to "feel it in your core"
