Until they offer full time 4wd on the Taco, I stand by my remarks. :stirthepot:

No. My '03 did, and it was just plain fun in the snow. You could just hammer down without even thinking about it. Good times!

I had a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport back in the day. I only had it off road a few times, nothing very challenging, but that truck was a beast in the snow. We lived in a house where the garage was on an alley. When we had snow the alley wouldn't be plowed for a few days, if ever (city of Milwaukee). The ends of the alley would be plowed in from the cross streets and the packed snow banks would be 3 feet high or more. I was always the first guy out on the block and would crash through those drifts with extreme prejudice. It was a blast, and that truck was a damn tank! I never even bothered to carry a shovel in it in the winter.

You forgot the 20 inch rims

It's better for traffic, yes..... Maybe. I stand by my statement that the Taco is superior for two main reasons

Longer wheelbase, gives you options for slinging the rear around corners or maintaining stability

Part time or even 2wd.... Moar fun!

    Manual transmissions....

Ok that was three. But I digress.....

Heard back from my buddy with the shop on getting some time for mounting. He said: hellz yeah, let's do it, I'll even help! We just have to set a day/time on the 28th or 29th. Before he started racing, he would take his buggy up around the pipeline, taunting the 4x4's when they got stuck.

20" rims are easily remedied. But, they don't necessarily hinder snow performance.

No problem swinging mine around turns. Very easy to control.

2wd and part time 4wd can be fun, but full time 4wd is still better.

Manual transmission is a personal preference. It's not actually better.

I didn't know the highly overrated FJ Cruiser was offered in full time 4wd. I don't see how that would be any better than a full time 4wd 4runner, Prado, or GX, though. Manual transmission is funner, not better.
