So I have been reading a lot on forums about U Joints but have not found a correct spec for the (2) U joints for the front propeller shaft on the Double Cab 4WD model. The common joints offered by a million auto part stores are for the rear (2) piece driveshaft that are about 3.62" cap to cap. The front ones are smaller - has anybody replaced these recently and what is the model number and auto store you got them from. The cheapest I can find from a dealer or OEM store on line is upwards of 60 bucks. Lots of links on here to Spicer joint websites but they are not the correct joint for the front.

Do yours squeak or have play? I still have oem at the front with 200K+ and they are holding up well. Even though I off-road and use 4x when I need it, the front joints just don't nearly see the same amount of stress as the rears. I would leave them alone unless you happen to take apart the front diff to change gears or something, or they are actually damaged.
