Anyone get the Magnuson supercharger and change out gear with nitro gear?

I have a 2018 TRD OR MT - just completing a 9000 mile cross country roundtrip pulling a 6000lb Airstream.

My upgrades include OME Dakar leaf springs and 886s that leveled everything out and gave me a lot more load on the rear. KD Maxx 6 91 octane tune - we applied this half way through the trip so I can attest to the difference it makes.

Bottom line. Truck did fine under most conditions. Struggled on the out-leg (pre tune) when climbing the most extreme grades (Teton Pass). We smoked the clutch backing up a few times before I started using 4Lo (2Lo harness waiting for me at home). Return trip with tune made a huge difference. Climbing the sierras and rockies on the way back I could pass semi’s instead of having to just accept whatever speed they were managing in the slow lane. Keeping revs above 2500 at all times makes everything easier.

All that being said. Planning another similar trip next year and seriously considering Magnuson SC, HD flywheel and clutch and maybe gear ratio lift to 4.88 or 5.29. We made acceptable progress under most conditions but it would have been safer to have power in reserve.

I love my Taco and really don’t want a full size truck the rest of the time so dropping 10-15 on this upgrade is still a better deal than buying a Tundra.

I’m in this same boat right now.
I’ve been told I want 5.29 and I do really want the low range crawling ability since I’m in a MT it would just make things easier for me.

I have 33” tires. ARB Bumper with winch, rack, and other accessories.

I am also wanting to do SC in conjunction with gears.
Live at 7,000ft and it’s my daily.

    Please share your opinions.
