They told me it ships on the 23rd, sooo early February? My wifes working today, I think I'm going to spend some time rearranging the garage and seeing if I can fit all 5 bikes plus her jeep in there

I just did a quote on the Grom and it would make my insurance go up $28/yr, but that's also without removing the Navi. Currently at $168/yr for the 4 bikes with full coverage on the BMW (with $3,000 in accessory coverage) and liability only on the Navi and CT90, then ACV on the CB750.

I have thoughts on both now having ridden a Grom, Navi and Z125 Pro but I'm interested to see what @spencermarkd thinks.

That's impressive! I pay $200/year on my 2008 Versys for liability + comprehensive only and $400/year for my CB1000R for similar coverage.

Do you have mileage limits on your policy?

No mileage limits that I'm aware of. Found the list of discounts I'm getting:
    upload_2023-1-21_10-1-42.jpg

Also found that the Navi was $32/yr, but my rate only went up $6.84, soo no idea what'll happen when I remove it for the Grom.

    Hah - sure.

Basically, I don't think the two are comparable. The Navi feels a lot more toy-like while the Grom feels way more like an actual motorcycle (because it is). I'm still trying to get over the lack of a clutch lever on the Navi and it's boggling my brain.

The Grom/Z125 is way faster and much more stable. I've had the Z125 at 65+ mph and it felt fine, while the Navi at 40 feels completely maxxed out and wobbly. The 125s feel like they can take on a lot more mileage without tiring you out vs the Navi. I commuted on the Z125 for a bit when I was able to avoid taking the highways and even on expressways it wasn't terrible (granted, you had to keep it pinned at all times to keep up with traffic, but the Navi feels like that on regular 35 mph roads).

Coming from say, a bicycle, the Navi is a lot more forgiving, but coming from riding real motorcycles, the Grom is a lot more fun. Plus Groms are great platforms to get into stunting, wheelies, etc. The fact that the carb is tuned so poorly on the Navi is also kind of disappointing because it's marketed towards noobs who probably won't do their own wrenching or tinkering either.

I love the Navi because I already have other bikes for traveling but I also knew what it was getting into it. I still love it but they're not comparable IMO.

Installed a full Graves exhaust, TST velocity Stacks and modded the air box lid on my R3. Holy crap I could actually feel the power increase. Had a full Toce exhaust, custom flash tune on the dyno before. Put down 38hp 20ftlb . The Graves performs so much better. Going to take it back to the dyno in March to be reflashed for the new mods. Also have ceramic bearings to install along with a 415 chain conversion. This is a fun little bike. Will be doing my first track day on this bike in June or July. I have taken my CBR929, ZRX1200, 2001 FZ1 and 2012 FZ1 to track days in the past. IMO this little bike may be more fun. We will see.

Took the new bike for a ride, actually wasn’t as cold as I thought. Got 97 miles on it now. I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun. The quick shifter is awesome and the brembo brakes are very strong. I’m behaving myself and haven’t shut off traction control or ABS yet.

Unfortunately insurance went up which was expected. I was paying $100/yr for the Bolt with liability/comp. The Husky has full coverage and is $453/yr.

Well today I purchased the new bonneville. I have a plate, registration, insurance, and a payment date. The bike is still at the dealership though as I'm waiting for a couple of accessories to come in yet. Besides the weather here sucks! But I'm now shopping for some other accessories and different tires, the stock pirelli tires suck!
So all I brought home today was the portfolio book thingy with the manuals and spare key.

Man I can't wait to get her home and for the weather to break so I can ride her.

Just did a 15 mile trip on the Navi (first real ride) and it's so fun! I took it on an express with a 45 mph limit and it does OK as long as I keep the throttle pinned the entire time. :D

I can't wait for it to warm up a bit here so I can ride it some more. It's a little cold and I'm spoiled by heated grips.

Was that a joke!? Could only make it halfway through the video. So the only thing new is it’s white? Yet they already had a white one in 2022

Im not sure.. that computer voice sucked though. Had it going in the background as I watch my garmin update.

I was kinda dumb. Thought the Zumo could only run on bike power so its been sitting in the box for a week. But I just realized today that it came with a USB cable, so I hooked it up to the computer, and now its almost done with a 4 hour map update. Also just downloaded the MABDR and NEBDR, and will add some local dirt road gpx files that I got from this video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n74svW4xm94&t=329s

Its pretty damn cool that I can upload gpx files to the built in 32gb of memory on the Zumo, and have the option to add 256gb in a memory card too (on the list). Guess there are dirt roads around me..

Honda and Suzuki are competing to see who can keep making the same old dual sport the longest.

Kawasaki disqualified themselves when they redesigned the KLR.
