I drilled 2 holes down through the mid-line of each bar and used allen head socket screws and square nuts to attach them to the channel in the side rails.

 

Yo! You get that rod holder mounted up yet?!?

 

Sure did!!!!

worked out so well I’m actually able to put action trax in them when I remove the foam.

 

I also added a locking latch.

Maybe someday! Currently still active duty AF(2A7X3) so I might have plans do make some stuff when I retire! Got a long ways to go haha.

where did you get those pads? Looking at getting a frontrunner rack and need pads for some SUP boards.
