Morimoto XB LED

So I bought the lights for my 23 Tacoma.
First attempt- Fail
*need harness for stock LED DRL
Second attempt- Fail
* wrong harness
Third attempt-Fail
*possibly wrong harness?
There is a DRL connected on the light i disconnected and plugged harness DRL Connector. Nothing just head lights.
I’m at a Loss.
No DRL is ON
I FEEL IM DOING WRONG WITH CONNECTONS?

Sounds like you need this harness.
If you have the stock LED DRL (with halogen hi/low) headlights you’ll need these.. the harness you have in the picture is for us you have FULL LED headlights. If this is indeed what you need I’ll ship you these for free if you cover shipping. I fought this same battle a few months ago because online doesn’t have an accurate photo for this harness.

Edit- I’m honestly pretty confused on what you’ve done so far so I could be wrong.

Do u have led drl or no drl ?

 

This looks like the harness that came with my morimotos. This is to be used with tacomas that came with Halogen headlights and L shape white drl.

My sr5 didn't need to use a harness at all

If you have oem led headlights and want to install morimotos, you need a special harness from morimoto that connects the 5 plugs in your headlights to the one connector on your truck

 

Correct, SR5's don't need the harness I posted above because they don't have a DRL, so they require the add-a-fuse for DRL functionality.

Yea we figured that out in PM's.. You're correct, this harness does come with the headlights, but I bought an 'opened box' set that didn't come with it. Thought maybe he had done something similar.. The part I bolded is what everyone calls the "LED DRL headlights".. He sent me a photo of his headlights and he has the full LEDs. It can get confusing tbh, especially when there are limited photos online. Here's a photo of the "LED DRLs", but OP does not have these. I'll also attach a photo of OP's light that he sent me in a PM..
