Completely Novice Question regarding Wheels. How do you Navigate a Massive selection,Vendors. Ect. for a quality product? Do you generally get what you pay for? Thank you.

 

My goto first is OEM/Toyota/TRD, then aftermarket. You get what you pay for.

I think some of the most reputable aftermarket brands are Black Rhino, SCS, Relations Race Wheels, Method…just the first few that came to mind. You can’t go wrong with any of those brands in terms of quality. I personally have Black Rhino wheels.

 

I take into account a few factors:

1) My budget. This is the the biggest factor.
2) The size I want.
3) The style & color I want.

Once I've figured that out, then I do my due dilegance and start shopping around. Take your time and don't buy impulsively. Buying new wheels can cost upwardsd of $2k

 

Pick the right size tire, before planning on rims... Not all tires come in 16" or 17"

 

I always take weight into my considerations; which is why I usually stick with stock wheels which so far have suit my needs.

16x8 and 25 pounds each according to their website.

 

What size tires you plan on running and if you’re going to lift your truck answers you need before forking out the cash. As stated above you get what you pay for. I went Method and have been very happy with them lots of good wheels out there but research is your friend.

 

I only have the Sema wheels and I hate the mall

 

Gas cap holder has zero to do with “mall cruiser” gramps..
