Never know when you’ll have to step through something unpleasant! They’re more useful during paddling season, but they ride so nice I forget they’re there.

I believe it is 1 1/4" (I'll double check later), and I threw it in the vice and used a wire brush attachment on a drill and chamfered it out pretty easily. Just used my best judgement on trying to make it even. Worked easier than I expected.

Replaced rear parking brake cable. It has always annoyed me the e-brake light stays on because there's too much slack in the cable. I just did a rear brake job, bell cranks/brake clearance all adjusted, still saggy (stretched cable.)

Simple, adjust at intermediate lever right? Nooooooo . . . all frozen up, below is what's left after I broke the bolt off the first time lol.

The one bracket by the gas tank was fun to get in and out, but pulled it off somehow.

    20230121_180609.jpg

I went OEM because I just didn't feel right about the aftermarket ones, didn't look like anything lined up right. Old and new, passes side by side.

Who needs an extra cab frame? Was in a front end crash but no damage or major to the frame I can tell. No motor, cab or bed. Tired of storing it so time for it to go. Will make a good deal or it’s going to the scrap yard. E0F2BCF3-F6C5-4852-AD85-3C85F2169223.jpg D852140A-EFF9-4F92-A5A8-7B996BB05C20.jpg

I only count 5 lugs on those wheels. Most will want 6 lugs--the suspension is totally different.

If nobody wants the complete frame, maybe you can cut some sections out of it for someone to graft onto their rotting frame?

Yep only a 5 lug. Be a good candidate for some going long travel or sas or even weld oem brackets for 6 lug suspension.

i wouldn’t be opposed to cutting sections for people. It’ll go to the scrap yard if it doesn’t sell.

Before.jpg After.jpg Tried the Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer kit, $20 from Auto Zone. Quite pleased with the results, which took literally five minutes per lens. I guess they weren't as far gone as I thought because I just needed the Lens Clarifying Compound to get the results shown (didn't use the pads). Give the lens a good rubbing with the compound, buff it off, then wipe on the base coat and sealing coat.

And somewhat related to my previous post about the lens restoration, what is the recommended process for making the plastic part of the bumper look somewhat presentable? The 'before' picture gives a pretty good idea of the state of the finish right now.

I'm unsure what color that was supposed to be, almost looks like you have the bumper from a rare Copper Canyon color truck. Was it originally red? Anywho, on the black part of the bumper you can use SEM Trim Black to bring it back to factory look at least.

Wrong bumper style for Copper Canyon. That was a '98-only color and I see an 01+ bumper. I'm not sure what other color that would be though...

Then that has to be some of the worst Toyota Red paint fade I've ever seen, but I supposed that could happen on a flat plastic part.

Got my first oil analysis. Came out pretty good (better than I'd been worried about).
