Ok, folks, I replaced my OEM leaf springs with the brand General about 6 months ago. These things are squeaking worse than a 20 year old barn door. I am more of a one and done person. I guess that is not going to be the case when dealing with this. This truck is no more than an everyday truck with an occasional haul. Can you all help me out. What do I need to do? New leafs from different supplier or just new bushings? Or anything else?

I’d jack it up by the frame and slather/squirt/shove grease or anti-seize between all the leafs I could first

+1. Get a can of Wurth HHS Plus or HHS 2000 high pressure lubricant and spray in between and around anywhere there is metal to metal contact. That stuff is amazing at eliminating squeaks. Beats replacing the leaf springs, especially since they are relatively new.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Where has the truck lived the past 6 months ?

Just what seems to be making the noise ?

6 months the noise just started or you just decided to say something?

Have you contacted General Spring ??I have received great Customer Service.

    Noise can be tricky.

It has been several years I never had noise from springs I purchased from General Springs .

My Vehicles get loaded and are used to Tow maybe that is the difference.

    Good Luck ?

Ok, so I started with the recommendation given by MNMLST. It has been greased. As I was going g through this exercise, I noticed the squeaking was coming from the bushings. Not sure if it was 100% from the bushings, but for now it is not squeaking. Granted the entire roadtrip for this test has been out of the garage, down the driveway and then back in the garage. Fingers crossed as I go on my daily commute of 15 miles to. work.

Bivouac - I wish I had a good reason for them to squeak. The miles travelled have been mainly the work commute of straight roads with minimal testing grounds and minimal towing, if any. As for timing, it was about 4 months, then the squeaking started. I have yet to reach out to customer service. I will give the lube job a shot, but that will be the next effort.

Many thanks for the suggestions this far.

Wash the leafs thoroughly. Dust between the leaf layers will create noise/squeaking. My leaf packs have 8 layers. They get washed out once in a while for this very reason.
