Replaced CV’s and LBJ, now the LCA is drooping about 2” and won’t line up with spindle

I disagree, but ok. I think it's way safer to pull the coilovers and eliminate that safety issue, but to each their own.

Truck on jack stands, disconnect lower ball joint, support LCA under ball joint with floor jack, remove upper coil over nut, lower jack. Reverse with new spring. It’s slow and controlled.

Aftermarket coilovers are specifically designed to droop to right before where the CV’s start to bind. You put a top spacer on there you will over droop and put the CV’s and TRE’s where they aren’t going to last long.

This is on my todo list. Been resolving 5100’s or keeping as-is w/o spacers. It’s absolutely next on my list though.

We typically agree on a lot of things, but I fail to see any danger here.

I've had to undo the LBJ multiple times for the many times I swapped/pulled a cv axle and whatever other fuckery I had going on.

    Nothing a jack and/or jackstand can't handle.

I simply follow Toyota. They don't specify removing the coilover so I don't. No issues. Even when I completely pull the steering knuckle off the vehicle the coilover stays on the truck.

One thing I do want to mention, with stock UCAs those things don't want to move. SPCs move freely. I can remove the cotter pin and nut from the UCA BJ and easily lift up and the entire knuckle is removed. With stock UCAs, yeah - pain in the ass.

Not saying you need aftermarket UCAs OP. If no rubbing and no issues with them, they're fine.

Stock UCA's, no difficulty added at all.
