Think you would have had enough wire for a double cab long bed?

there is a different part number for longbed.
I've installed 3 of these in recent past. There is not enough harness for the LB with the SB kit. I suspect the heat shielding would be in the wrong spots as well.
Also, run the wires from front to back. The plugs are too big to fit through the hole in floor running rear to front.
You may be able to fit them through if you removed the passenger seat.

I had some wire left to make a loop, but the long bed is almost a ft longer, right? Not sure if that would fit. I think there is an extra long one for the DCLB.
If you install, you may not want to follow the instruction sequence in the manual. I started with the actuator and then ran the wire harness through the tailgate under the bed. That way you know how much wire you need through the tailgate. Then I ran the wire harness from the front to the rear and connected the two wire harnesses.

Thanks! Will look for the right part numbers. Was thinking this one or the R4T one!

It makes a satisfying clunk when it latches.

The solenoid actuator that mounts in the tailgate lasted 16 months in my 2022 sport. The gear that drives the rod in the solenoid broke in half. It is a plastic gear. A lot of door lock actuators are the same except the connector is different. I think I used an actuator for a 2001 Ford explorer door lock. Just putting this out there in case someone else runs into this issue.
