Group petition

With all these rumors of the next gen tacomas getting the 2.5L turbo engine from the highlander I had the realization that we might need to petition the admins to rename this group to the “OG NA under powered 4 cylinders” or something of the likes. We don’t need all these new cast aluminium folk running around on here burying all our posts with their claims of power and turbo issues.

All jokes aside though this section has always had a soft spot in my heart. The encapsulation of the daily struggles of our little engines. Plus it has become a library of wealth of information. I guess when the time comes we will find out. Was just wondering what you guys’ thoughts was on the subject and how you’d like to see things play out

 

I concur but at the same time there ain't many of us left. Wouldn't hurt to get more activity in here.

And who knows, maybe the 2.5 turbo can be an easy engine swap into our trucks

 

this section of the forum is almost dead, theres one new post every week if even. interested if a swap is doable or at least using the turbo on our 2.7. correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure the 2.5 turbo has been used by toyota for some time now, so there might not be as many problems with it as people think.

 

Add 2.7L before or after the 4 cylinder.

 

faster and newer aren't always 'better'. Definitely need a distinction like "2.7 N/A"
