My aunt from California found an 07 IS250 on offer up and wants me to go look at it. Place looks sketchy, deal looks sketchy, just from the picture of the dash I can see an airbag light, check engine, tpms on but she still wants me to look at it.

Was wondering if anyone has access to VIN reports and would be able to pull one for me. Or if anyone knows about these cars and can give me some tips on things to look for.

    VIN: jthbk262072053205

07 250's had wicked valve carbon issues. Avoid. The 350 (still used port) was the only on worth owning or the F.

They had direct injection early, but no port injector (D4S) so the valves would just collect carbon deposits and unless cleaned, would misfire and cause all sorts of issues.

I don't recommend any 2nd gen IS with the 2.5 engine. Especially for someone that can't work on it.

    Thanks Bishop!

I told her I’m not wasting my time looking at it. I’m sticking to what I know, and trying to find her a TL or TSX. I’ve worked on Hondas my entire life, and know everything there is about k and j series engines
