Thanks for the response. Does the compressor need to be moved out of the way? I looked around that are but did not see it.

Pretty sure you have to take both the compressor and bracket loose to change it.
What makes you think it needs a crank sensor? They don't fail very often.

    Does the engine run?
    Does your Tach work?

That code is for lack of crank signal to the ECM.
Unless you have a scope, all you can do is check resistance.
    @Dm93 posted the values above.

I haven't had time to work on it yet. Hopefully today I will be able to check with multimeter.~Thanks

Just some friendly advise, please be more specific in your thread title to help others that may be having the same issue. 'Need help' says nothing about finding the crankshaft position sensor. We're happy to try to help you out but please help your fellow forum denizens. Maybe something like 'Help finding crankshaft position sensor' or the like. Thanks.

Update: After changing crank position sensor, air filter, and fuel pump, swapped relay, I have had 0 luck. Truck seems to run good when i get it to crank though..

Haven't drove it more than a quarter mile so no codes after reset. I read that lexus can throw p0335 with a low battery, so I charged battery and also tried to jump start with 0 change.

Sorry so long but im hoping someone with experience will chime in. ~Thanks again for everyone's help.

So the truck will not start or it will start but is setting a crank sensor code?

Will start every now and then, sometimes on the first start but if you shut it off it will not start back without prolonged cranking. I'm afraid to drive it because even after 10-20 tries sometimes it still wont start.

I mean unless you can find an obvious wiring problem it's probably gona take an oscilloscope to nail this down.

This is what the cam and crank signals should look like on a scope.

Code hasn't came back yet after clearing it and also disconnecting the battery for half a day. It hasnt ran but 1/4 of a mile down the road and back. One time it stumbled and died after it started. Sorry for the confusion, trying my best to explain this.

Not a fan of mechanic shops, so if i can i will continue to throw parts at it until its fixed.

I'd suspect a wire that is rubbing on something and shorting out, give the entire engine harness a good visual inspection for rubbed/corroded wires.

Sorry I didnt respond to this. The tach does work. Do you happen to know the resistance values for the cam sensors?

Toyota does not give resistance specs for the Cam (VVT) sensors but since you have no codes for them odds are they and the circuits to them are good.
The engine will run without the cam sensors but will not run without a crank signal.

You could check resistance on the crank sensor circuit at the PCM connector and see if it matches the resistance at the crank sensor, this would tell you for the most part if the circuit is intact.

Unplug connector E9 and put your meter across Pins 5 (White) and 6 (Black), the resistance should match the crank sensor resistance.
Also check the resistance from each pin to ground, it should be infinite.

That and a visual inspection of the wiring is about all your gona be able to do without a scope.

Tried a reset on the immobilizer by leaving key in crank position for 15 min. Then letting rest 3 min. Also tried key reset in door cylinder. The truck started right up and also started 6 times back to back. 5:30am yesterday.

Drove my other truck to work while I trickle charged tacoma. Got home yesterday after work 4:30pm and it's back to no start..

Pulled both cam sensors, both read 1200 ohms. Guessing they wouldnt both be bad.. Pulled the connector E9 from ecu but my leads are too big.

Other things im wondering about are air pump, bad ecu, fuel pressure regulator? Grasping straws.

Is the engine not getting fuel?
    Not getting spark?

What do you think it is not getting?

Cranks just fine, but won't actually start?

Make a video or something and show us

Just pulled spark plug and plug was saturated with fuel after cranking, so it's definitely getting fuel. Cranks over fine. Seems to be a spark issue. Hasnt started back since yesterday morning.
