so much anger over a valve.

i installed one. i put on on my other vehicle too even. anyone don't like it, i'm accepting voluntold's for oil changes.

the position don't pay, you'll be on demand for whenever i need it changed, but you can put whatever valve/plug/fitting you want on in the oil hole.

When I went to the site there’s four different types.
Which one works the best on the tacoma?

This one says it can be rotated...not sure if that’s helpful or not.

    https://www.fumotousa.com/f103sx.html

The new Fumoto Fumoto® SX-series can be rotated 360° when it is installed, allowing you to choose the position and the oil flow direction for a smaller profile and easier access for maximum protection and further convenience oil drainage.

I use to use this exact same device as well on an older 12v Cummins diesel. Worked excellent! The big difference is that it had a huge drain hole vs the Tacoma. But this would also probably be a good option, the Fumoto has been what I use on the Tundra and Tacoma now. Never had failures with either style system though

Yep. If you don’t have a few more minutes and can’t wait go with the alternative. Now, if you can’t find the piece you have to mate up with the plug you might have given all that saved time back and then some.

Doesn't the Fumoto sit too high in the oil pan which causes about a cup of oil remaining?

Maybe a little. If you’re worried about it put another oil filter on in a couple of weeks

Why is everyone rhyming this morning?

    April fools?

    :rasta:

Also, I've had my fumoto for 7 years and literally forget it's down there. The guys that don't like them spend more time thinking about them than I do

Adding another advantage to having a Fumoto Valve. This will be #21. See the attached video at the 2:31 timestamp. The guy overfilled his engine oil and has to take some out. I bet he would have loved to have a Fumoto instead.

My only concern about the spin-on filter kit is the filter is upside down.
This can allow oil to drain out of the filter, resulting in a delay of X from a cold start while the filter is refilled.

Nope…..the standard spin on adapter has the filter right side up.

Possibly the person was considering the relocation kit like I have that turns the filter 180 from the one shown. BUT! the filter has an anti drain back valve which keeps oil up in the filter so NO WORRIES.
