I have searched and remember reading somewhere or maybe i imagined it......3rd gen taco's dont work well with "Audio Control" brand amps with the GTO sense switch.....instead of looking for 12v trigger power to switch the amp on when i turn on the truck, you enable the GTO(great turn on) on the amp and run the speaker wires to it and it sense voltage from the HU when you turn on the radio....Well its HIT or MISS.....the radio turns on but the amp doesn't trigger on all the time...Whats the best wire to tap under the dash to just do it old school and trigger the amp with a switched 12v signal to turn on when the key is turned on....???...i know with all the computer stuff under there some things dont react too well to being tapped......Who has done this with a good level of success without causing something else to mess up...??

Safest bet is always the cig lighter. If your amp is under the seat, you can even grab the wire from the center console power outlet and not even have to take the dash apart
