Manual transmission throw out bearing ?

Hey guys I need some help. I have these 2 distinctive clunks when applying the clutch. Both clunks are felt through the clutch pedal. Is there anyone who knows the cause of this ?

TOBs usually make noise when running, like mine currently is. Ugh!

That sounds like the return spring. Hit it and all the pivot points with brake grease.

 

Makes the same noise when the truck is running. The feel in the clutch pedal is more annoying than the sound the tacoma TOB don’t seem to last very long

 

I’ve had the traditional TOB squeak but it only happened 2 times in the 1 year ownership of the truck

 

I think I just have a faulty one. We'll see after the swap.

Yes. Lube up the pedal area and see how it goes?

 

I’ll give that a shot tomorrow. Are you doing clutches as well or just replacing the throw out bearing ?

 

Be sure to get brake grease as it will not separate and drip on you.
