Thanks for the shoutout haha. Crazy to think that’s a “small” wall compared to what we have been doing lately. You know it’s steep when you can barely reach the pedals your sucked so far in the seat.

I hear you. Nothing that needs to be upgraded right away anyway.

And Sand Hollow  @malburg114 how is the traction in the winter compared to like summer/fall temps on the slick rock? Out here cold granite can totally fuck your traction up compared to summer days, wasn't sure if it was the same or not on slick rock.

It’s hit or miss. It’s the sand that changes it. When the sands wet there seems to be more traction there but less on the rocks go figure. When the sand is dry it’s hard to get around or lined up but the rocks have lots of grip. Was just at sand hollow and had a day of rain/snow that made the rocks extremely slick and required a lot of throttle lol

Spent all day running back and forth to speed shop fitting brake lines. Had to settle for 2 ridiculous red/blue 45’s but should have brakes at least. I abandoned rivnuts for packs of zip ties for times sake.

    No smoking please, lol.

That's the least fun part. Especially when you got everything tighten and than noticed leaks afterward. Had to re-do my brand line multiple times just to find out 1 front and 1 rear calipers were leaking from the banjo. After all that, I realized the other front caliper piston is frozen. I was pissed, threw the white flag and went home for a few days. Lol

That sucks. All my brake stuff is new so I hope it doesn't act up. I ended up using 2an lines with 3an fittings on the whole brake system so we'll see how it works out. So far the truck seems like it is happy with everything. All the interior shit works, it cranks, has oil pressure. Getting belt tomorrow so, im prob gonna do a test start and see how the motor behaves. I always prepare for the worst, so, barring a knock ill be happy.

Have a lot of wiring to do still and my entire electrical system is cheap ass Amazon shit. lol. Haven't even started my lighting or air yet either (all cheap amazon shit). Have 5 days to be out of shop. :luvya: Gonna have to drag/winch me out on the 1st. This truck is gonna be the perfect combination of the cheapest shit and the most expensive shit.:rofl::rofl:

Not yet, lol. Supposely 1 month project turned into several months later, haha. The towers are cut off, prepped, and frame cleaned tho. Setting up steering shaft tomorrow I hope and will mock towers. Hopefully it'll be back on its weight by next week or so.

Why are you messing with the steering? Hitting the new tower?

Originally fab it with a 2 piece steering shaft with a 3/4" heim attached to the tower for support so it can wrap the tower.

Ordered a Borgeson 1 piece (3/4" to 1" D) shaft and will re-do. Keeping it a 1 piece now and will built the tower around it.

I keep hearing this. Hopefully I don't ever suck air. I don't have a sump. Just a flat tank.

This has been the hardest year of my life. After this beater started I kinda had an emotion dump and then just thanked the Car Gods like I never have before. Still a lot to do, but this was a big relief.

They're used a lot in drag applications because of how much they hold and starvation with smaller tanks
