Lol with both the husky and the DRZ in the garage I told my wife I wanted to go look at a bike with my buddy on Tuesday... she gave me a look and I was like "Not for me!"

Nah, I meant it when I said only a little annoyed. Pretty much as long as her jeep still fits in the garage I'm good to go. I got lucky

If you can fit 24 cans in the Navi storage, I'm sure you can fit a cat :D

good luck closing that lid though

Serious question: What's the appeal of Groms and Navis? They're just itty bitty bikes, aren't they? Are they uncomfortable? Slow? I just don't understand, but I'd like to.

There's truth to the saying "it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow". Just keeping up with traffic in the Navi is fun since you're basically wide open throttle the entire time. It's also very flickable and easy to control so you can get away with horsing around more on a Grom/Navi than on a big bike (unless you're some motoGP rider, you're probably not getting 10/10ths out of your sport bike, and you shouldn't be doing so on the street anyways). Lane splitting is also easier on small bikes as you can fit in almost any gap.

Also the Navi is just convenient. Since I'm going a lot slower I just throw on my helmet, gloves and boots without putting on my full suit and airbag vest. I kind of treat it like a bicycle in that sense. If I want to run errands around town it's faster to jump on and go, and has storage for smaller trips.

I have a CB1000R and that bike just feels bored trundling along at 40 mph, while 40 mph on the Navi is an experience. Grom is similar to the Navi, except you get to bang gears as well. All depends on what you're looking for, I guess.

Yeah $500 for the dual can setup is very reasonable considering the Yoshimura exhaust for the Navi is the same price.

I'm jealous of the cheaper options for the Grom. I wish there was a <$100 option for the Navi since I think it would clean up the look a lot.

I'm 6'2" and 230lbs and fit on a Navi. They're small sized but the controls are spaced well for full ass adults. Hard to explain why they're so much fun. Smaller wheels and shorter wheel base means you can just flick it anywhere. You can hoon around on them and have a blast but since you aren't on a 600 or 1000cc sport bike noone thinks you're a dick. Looking ahead to customizing the grom, too, parts are stupid cheap. I can do a full set of fresh OEM plastics for under $150. Most engine mods are under $100. Exhausts seem to be the most expensive parts so far. Shit even big bore kits are under $500.

Whats the appeal of go kart tracks? Why not race full size cars on a full size track? They just itty bitty cars aren't they? (edit: reading this back it sounded very dick-ish, promise that wasn't my intent haha just phrasing it differently or using go karts/cars as an analogy)
