    Life's been keeping me busy.

Needed to deviate a bit and get back to what I intended on doing.

Got the table filled with this stuff from Eastwood as I've heard good things about their fluid additive -

    20230125_154239.jpg

    20230125_143347.jpg

Figured I'd give it a go at a motor mount (customer order) as my first piece. I actually went from DWF file to immediately getting my setup for post process.

Mainly because my friend stopped by as he wanted to watch it in action but needed to leave shortly after-

    https://youtu.be/YTuwA5zT_V8

    The path -

The finished product; I had to knock the holes out as I haven't figured out values for cutting holes yet -

Cut piece next to the actual model -

    They're damn near identical -

Edges are clean as hell after knocking the little dross off -

    Backside too -

Any and all help and criticisms are welcome.

This is my first actual cut with holes, and of something I drew up on Fusion 360 to mimic a motor mount I was able to borrow.

I made a similar drawing on Draftsight but haven't cut that pattern out yet.

I want to comment further, but I think the learning as you advance on your own is more satisfying.

I'm still learning my table and love every minute.

    Yeah no worries!

I absolutely understand there's a lot to learn and experience to gain, just like welding.

I just hope to learn the software side a bit quicker than the current pace as I have homework as well as a big essay due completely unrelated to this stuff.

That and of course life stuff so time is really limited!

Me and the wife’s 11 year wedding anniversary this Saturday. Traditional 11 year wedding anniversary gift is something made of steel. Oh goodie!!

Making her something small that she will appreciate

Gonna make a little base for it and then make some little tea light candle holders behind the hearts to illuminate the letters when the candles are lit

haha thanks man. She loves little things that are hand made so I’m sure she’ll be happy. She’s not materialistic whatsoever so she likes these kind of things
