Vidja of my dog when he was a pup. He dug a hole in the mulch and put an empty water bottle in the hole and is trying to cover it with his nose.
He still does this with his toys on the couch. He drops it where the cushions separate and “covers” it with imaginary dirt using his nose.

My parents used to have a German Shepherd that was a retired border patrol dope dog. Years of sniffing dope had obviously fried his brain. He found a 4 foot 2x4 and adopted it. He carried it with him everywhere and slept with it. It was really funny when he tried to carry it through a 3’ gate
