Bought these lights about 6 months for or take, noticed in the last few months the passenger headlights started getting a haze from the inside.

There is no condensation or leaks anywhere from what I can see, removed bulbs and put in a few silica gel packs with no luck.

Is there a fix for this or just have to replace the lense?

I’m running LED projectors along with LED DRL and corner bulbs.

Was this a retrofit? Almost looks like off-gassing from the black bezel paint hazed the inside of your lens. Strange it only happened to the one & not both. If it's a retrofit I would contact whoever did the work.

RTV silicone can offgas and leave a film of translucent crud. One may have been sealed with butyl rubber and the other with rtv?

Just ordered a new replacement lense, hopefully this doesn’t happen again. I’ll be using window weld butyl, never had any issues with gassing from previous BHLM.

@TegoTaco where'd you get those from? Been looking for something for my '10 but haven't found any.

Being an aftermarket lens, I'd seriously consider coating them with a UV resistant clear coat.

I was actually thinking of coating them with the 2K SPRAYMAX headlight clear come spring. :)

What did you think of the quality of those lenses? Did they fit right?

I'm considering going this route too since my retrofitted ones are getting bad too. Probably do the 2k clear right off the bat too like you were thinking.

Funny enough, I did almost the same style retrofit back in 2019 and the lens is getting pretty tired. lol I used RX350's and swapped to clear lenses.

@TegoTaco @TacoFergie did either of you guys end up using those replacement lenses? Thinking about doing the same when I retrofit my OEMs, but nervous about the quality of something from China on Aliexpress haha

I have not, I was waiting for a response from @TegoTaco. I have considered ordering a set to see for myself though just to see. I'm just a bit concerned since the listing shows multiple material types. lol

    So much better.

My headlight lenses are the same way (both sides). But the thought of pulling them off again is nauseating.

Nice. Did you clear coat them?
