Hey guys when I first purchased the vehicle I noticed a tiny bit of seepage (50k miles) I thought it could have been just a messy oil change anyway the other day (75k miles) it seems a lil worse, I plan to address this soon but it’s not my daily and I’m pretty swamped these days, it did just have the coolant bypass pipe replaced not too long ago by the mechanic

@whatstcp do you think it can be the pcv valve the seepage seems the worse from back there

Maybe disconnect the hose there the PCV goes into the intake. See if it’s really oily?

I agree with @whatstcp that isn’t the normal valve cover leak. It looks like something is leaking onto the the cover.

Clean it up and see where it “starts”.

I had this same issue with my valve cover gasket/spark plug tube seals, where the oils was leaking up past the valve cover, but not down the spark plug tubes. The only way I stopped it from leaking was new gaskets, and RTV around the tubes on the valve cover (install valve cover with new gaskets, and before putting the coil packs back in, smear RTV around the opening). It doesn't look the greatest, but has not leaked/weeped any oil for 100k miles!

No problem! I am not sure what caused it, or why it weeped before and after changing out the gaskets (I used OEM Toyota gaskets, and I change out my PCV valve regularly). I will take a picture tomorrow when I have some daylight.

@IEsurfer Alright here you go, like I said, it is not pretty, but I tried using a very small amount of RTV at first, and it was still weeping. Thankfully most of it is covered by the coil pack! It looks like it is still slightly weeping, but that residue is from the last time I cleaned under the hood (I think I started wiping down the valve cover with 303...).
