I installed the nss and it did it want to start. So I thought I did the neural thing wrong so I had to keep moving it until it started. And when I did that I explained it in the other post. What happened next.

Didn't the shifter feel weird with the cable disconnected?

You may need to readjust the park/neutral switch once you get the shifter cable sorted.

but this works and good til. We get the part in.

And no I’m not going to put the original parts back in to see if it works. Because most likely it will. Because my retarded brother. Can even explain this right. But what are u going to do. Brothers love is a brothers love. Keep u guys posted

    Yeah.
Good work, man. Sucks throwing parts at something, but sometimes it's the only way you were going to find the problem -- this was an odd one.

I once owned a Lancia Beta (yes, the car the original Top Gear guys voted the worst car ever, but that was mainly due to the UK ones rusting out). A similar nylon bushing that snaps onto a ball broke in the shift linkage, but the outer metal ring that held it was still there. This happened while driving, and I was stuck in 2nd gear. I pulled over and figured out the issue, so I tore the hem off of an old t-shirt rag I had in the trunk and tied it together. Getting it into first gear was a bit wonky, but it worked -- and it worked for nine months while I waited on a part from Italy. The part showed up and it was the part with the ball, not the bushing. I think I gave up at that point and eventually got another beater. Eventually sold it to a friend of my dad's that was retired and wanted a project car.

Oh yeah. I’m not saying anything about the parts. I was saying for the people that’s going to say check if the parts are still good. Lol. But yeah thank you everyone who help me on this problem. I guarantee I wouldn’t have found the problem. And usually my mechanic friend does it. But he’s super busy with work trying to figure all the computer chip problems. and other people’s car on the side. He told me I had to wait. But my brother needs his car for work.

    THANK YOU!!!!

Nah it sucks. It’s hard to move. I should of put two nuts pin the bolt to the bracket. But I had to compress the white bushing that’s why it’s hard to move. But that’s why it’s a bush fix. Lol until the right part comes in
