Thank you all for the replies. It defiently hasn't gotten any easier since last week. I'm starting to think about getting another dog. Sammy will never be replaced, she was a great dog. Some people have told me that the only they ever got over a loss was to get another one. So we will see.

This is the last picture I took of her about 2 months ago.

DEFINATLY get another pooch! When I lost my dog Molly a bit over a year ago, I never thought I could get another Dog. But, My Wife and I did. Though the new dog/s will never replace Sammy, they WILL help you heal.

Sorry for your loss! Sammy was a very beautiful dog. It's the memories and the time you had with her that you should remember man.

So sorry for your loss. RIP Sammy.

I feel your pain since I lost my Ollie on 18 Feb, also due to cancer.

Definitely get another dog. He/she will never replace the one you have lost, but you will make new memories with your new buddy.
