I’m sure there will be plenty of adds for everyone’s new electric trucks. I’m not sure if adding a small turbo engine to a slightly redesigned Tacoma is Super Bowl commercial worthy though.

 

Are you implying that two different engines, with the same EPA rated fuel economy, have to have the same emissions profile?

 

Not have to have. But it would be surprising to see major differences in the same application as well.

Ads require lead times. Stuff just doesn't happen when someone snaps a finger. The more production outside Toyota's control the more chances for leaks. Toyota is going to release it when Toyota wants to.

I should post the comment I had on YouTube....all I said was I'm not sure if I believe the leaked photo is 100 percent accurate. I wasn't even responding to this guy but he sure had a lot to say

I ended up trading it in on my '20 tacoma.

Biggest problem that I encountered was that all of the lifts available (shitty spacer lifts ) would create a driveline shimmy around 45-60km/h when accelerating.

Probably anyone can DIY to R&R a wood stove or steam engine, so I don’t think that’s what the builders and makers have in store for us, or coming to the ’24 anytime soon lmao!

And it’s still a mystery how they’re going to get enough trained pros to fix planned & current technical issues, when they can’t even find qualified personnel to do an oil change properly.

I’ll take that steam engine now, but it does look complicated :/
