Stock vs the Mod trucks …. Mod truck ( built to go off roads) will always lose in the mpg. The added weights and lifts will reduce the mpg.

The choice the real off roaders have to make. Off roading adventures gets us into the green zone , sand zone ,mud zone, mountains and to the sea. Other times grocery shopping.
Lots of visitation to our favorite “gas stations” …lol.

Price of Tacoma + price of mods + price of gas = FUN! And a smaller paycheck…lol

I’m getting about 20. whatever mpg. 2023 2.7 4x4 sr stock. I do have xwing fighters on the hood, baby yoda on the side windows and a storm trooper rear window sunscreen. I also have some pimpin wheel skins on. I haul about 600lbs of goat/horse feed a couple times a week. I keep my revs in the 2000-2500 range 90% of the time. You just have to accelerate slowly. Think of the song slow ride by foghat. You’ll get there just later rather than sooner.

It would look better if I didn’t log my towing mileage also.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I drive 18 mph; I get 3 weeks to a gallon. Jk but my wife might agree with that statement

Elsewhere on TW folks are posting “EV’s dOn’T gEt tHeIr EPA rATeD mILaGe. EV’s aRe bAd. “

seriously ymmv has been said since the first EPA ratings came out. Where have you been? My 2011 Tacoma gets 19 mpg. That seems to be a pretty common rate. Want better gas mileage? Start by selling the truck and buying a car.

2021 with E-load 33s, lots of armor, 4.88s. I average 19+ mpg highway with a loaded down bed. The key is low RPMs. I keep it around 2150rpm and 65mph.

1300 mile trip from NY to FLA averaged over 23.5 mpg 65/70 avg mph I'm guessing. FLA to NY same trip only averaged 20 mpg. Who knows? I only avg 14 mpg local driving. It is what it is.

to op, i would suggest installing an air dam, a.k.a. chin strap. they do not come standard on the OR and may improve your fuel economy 1-2 MPG. :crapstorm:
