    Hello.

My AC was not working when I bought my truck. Recently have been looking into fixing the AC to get it up and running.
On the crankshaft where I believe the belt for the AC should go there is no pulley.

Can anyone shed some light on what's going on here? Is this a spacer, or is this from a truck that doesn't have AC?

Are each of the 3 the crankshaft pulleys an individual part, or are they connected together as a single part, I have seen conflicting information online.

In the photo the ac compressor pulley is in the foreground and the part in question is visible in the background between the other two pulleys.

    Thanks.

Fortunately, I just installed a complete AC system in my truck, because for whatever reason, even though my truck is a DLX model, it was opted out of AC.

I did have confusion as well, with the pulleys. But to ease your confusion, there should be 3 separate pulleys. It’s strange, because it looks like you never had a pulley there to begin with.

Mine looked the same way. The was a metal shim/spacer in between the alternator pulley and the PS pulley. That shim acts as a spacer because it mimics the dimensional thickness of the AC pulley.

One you remove the harmonic balancer, youll remove the four bolts connecting the Alternator and ps pump together, you’ll then have to remove the shim. Place the ac pulley inside the Alrernator pulley, then the PS pulley will fit inside the AC pulley. Tighten back together with the four before mentioned bolts.

Here’s your pulley part number for the 2.7
And the diagram of where the pulley goes:E2432E1F-2E45-452A-BBC9-0749137D02C6.jpgBF63904B-5117-49EE-A83C-33EB096849E3.jpg

Thanks for the answer, exactly what I was looking for.
