Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I gave up counting after 5 impacts I have yet to hit any Deer !!

Everyone has hit the side of the truck. I swear everyone sticks out their tongue and runs off.

Leaving for work in the wee hours makes it fun.

Deer are everywhere near me. Between the fields and the new housing developments, the deer are more out in the open than ever.

I’ve also heard the deer (and moose up north of me) like to lick the salt that we spray on the roads during winter.

Obvious advise is, if you see one, you can be almost certain there are three or four more lurking in the shadows.

They get dazzled by headlights. When I see one by the road I’ll give my horn a few short honks to try to snap them out if it and make them run away.

Be very careful blowing the horn with Moose Sometimes during the Rut they take that as a challenge .

I have seen them tear up a semi truck!

True story.....I was dating this woman, very cute but not to bright. As we were travelling on the highway one day she notices these signs. She proceeded to ask; "How do they tell the deer where to cross?".
I have pretty low standards but this one took the cake. deer .jpg

There was a recording years ago of a woman calling a radio station telling the host, someone should move those signs to a safer stretch of road so the deer can cross there….
I heard it and I’m still leaning towards it could not have been real, thinking no one could be that naive but who knows.

Looks a lot like mine did after I t-boned a big-ass doe back on Dec 20th. How did your repair turn out?
I should be getting mine back in 2 weeks.

I don't understand those idiots, I mean those deer. They usually stop and wait... once the car started moving, they go ahead and ram into the vehicle...

They act like "Hey bro, I can make across the street without getting hit... watch me!" Deer ran into the vehicle.. BAM.. Other deer tells to injured deer, "Dumbass!"

Geese are smart which they usually wait for cars go by first then they go across the street. Sometimes, they go across the street before incoming car gets closer... the drivers stop and wait.

Looks good but I have a couple issues to deal with. Shop quoted for OEM parts. Used aftermarket in several spots including the headlights. They charge $700 each for Chinese junk halogens. The headlights suck. Also claimed to replace several parts that they didn't replace. Original quote was $6251. They ended up charging the insurance company almost double that amount. This place is part of a toyota Dealership.
I have made the insurance company aware but I have a feeling they just don't care about the fraudulent charges and inflated cost. Which explains why our insurance rates are climbing.
Someone who isn't familiar with their vehicle or who isn't familiar with body work probably would be satisfied. And, they would never notice the parts that were claimed to be replaced were not replaced.

I had that happen to a lesser extent on my wife's Highlander after she was lightly rear ended. The body shop at a local dealership charged insurance (not mine) for a piece of trim that they obviously didn't replace, and I guess hoped we wouldn't notice. She is SUPER particular about her vehicle and we called them out right away. All the adviser said was, "Well, that's what the supplier sent us." I called bullshit and had them order new and put it back on.

I'm dealing with an independent shop for this one and they are using some aftermarket parts, but agreed to use the oem grill and emblem that I supplied (ins quoted $600 combined for an aftermarket grill/emblem), and an oem headlight, since I don't trust an AM LED headlight assembly to truly match the other.
