Brand new to the world of Tacomas! Got rid of my pos 2020 Ram 1500 for a 2020 SX 4wd Access Cab. Sure, feels a bit slower and less powerful, but other than that I couldn't be happier with my decision. Reminds me of my first truck as a highschooler, a 1994 Chevy s10.

Added my first mods this weekend: added fogs & ditch lights with switches, LEDs inside and out, and mudguards (north east winters suck). Wiring up the lights/switches was a new, yet addicting, task. While the mods themselves may not be very exciting, the entire process was incredibly exciting for me.

Looking forward to continuing to build!

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
Great looking rig bro. I love how you knew what mods you wanted, and jumped right in.

    Your dog approves as well!

Welcome to TW and congrats on the new ride :) I had 2016 Ram and honestly I never had any trouble with it. I think Rams are either hit or miss. You either have no trouble at all or they are a POS. Sorry you got the latter. About the only thing I miss about that truck was the interior room. Man was it comfy lol.

Congrats on the new ride, you have chosen wisely!

You have the best most reliable engine, easy on the wallet and most durable truck. Plenty of support to boot

I can definitely agree it was a super comfy ride! I have a couple coworkers who love their 1500s, run without complaints. Unfortunately, mine had some weird electronic issues that were happening pretty regularly (infotainment constantly powering on and off while driving, vehicle putting itself into anti-theft mode for no reason, even turned off a couple times at stops and wouldn’t let me restart). Transmission was also funky. I did love the auto 4wd and power seats!

Congrats, but I don't think it's a good idea to let your dog drive your brand new truck.

Thanks! Sometimes it feels like people say shit about other brands to garner favour with the Tacoma bros. Sound like you had some legitimate issues with yours, which I need to hear about as the owner of a Gen 4 Ram who is seriously considering a 5th Gen Ram as my next vehicle.

Welcome! I’m on Tacoma #5. Sorry I strayed before this one. This forum is great- been here for about 15+ years I think. Also keep an eye on the 2nd get section- many of their items fit ours.
mine of the best- adding the cargo rail to the front. It’s less than $50, bolts right on and gives more flexibility for stuff in the bed.
Your wallet will enjoy this truck more than you will!!!
