    Yup. I had the pro head kit with the strongest springs they sell too.

    Early October of 2022, I had a Spec Stage 5 clutch kit installed after I contaminated the Stage 3+ with silicone grease during install (let's not talk about that.)

    Late October of 2022, right after this thing was road worthy, my CX Racing turbo was killed by a broken piston stud from the blown-up USDM 5VZFE that somehow ended up in my air intake tube. The broken bolt was hanging out the whole time, waiting for enough boost to suck it into the compressor wheel.

    The Precision 6466 arrived around mid November. I install the Precision 6466 late December, do a tiny amount of fab repair/modification, clean the crap out of my charge pipes and intercooler. I start tuning for boost transitions up to 8 psi (wastegate).

    Yeah, my engine runs, truck drives, and all that; however, I'm pretty sure I've hit the control limits of the AEM FIC-6. The tune has been a real challenge and ego aside: I've got years of experience tuning on the AEM FIC-6.

    A week ago I bought the Haltech 2500 and before I take the truck down for some sErIoUs wiring, here's this video. I have 100 miles left on my engine break-in.

    I better make it to the track for the 2023 season. Really want to know that 1/4 time, even though I'm not that serious.

    Dude, sounds beastly for a 5vz, and reminds me of my truck. That 6466 is a good pair with your engine. You'll find that the Haltech is quite a lot of fun to tune, and will really help dial it all in. Can't wait to see some future videos.

    I ported and polished the heads (300+ grit) as well as the lower intake plenum. Also 9.0:1 compression. These are the things I acquaint with all the "unique" sounds this motor makes out the back and front ends (the intake side is odd/satisfying too). Also, stock cams!

    The 6466 is a blessing. I've been eyeballing the performance this thing offered to the 2JZGTE motors and thought it makes the most sense for the 5VZFE as well. Full spool is looking like 3k RPMs, but haven't gotten that far. Can spool as early as 1800 rpms, but not necessarily into boost... if you've monitored vacuum you would know what I'm getting at here. 5VZFE ECU doesn't like boost that early, probably because closed loop... anyway. Matting it gives the desired effect, but I tune for the ramp from closed into open, not an abrupt transition. AEM FIC-6 can't do it. I suspect the gap is too large between stock ecu and all the other sorcery (O2 skew, MAF 20% clamp, timing) against 650cc injectors.

    I also can't wait to ascend with the Haltech tuning world. A new chapter in 5VZFE wurrrriirrrrlllphbraaaowwwphhhrrrrwwwwwphrrrowww land.
