    Hi Everyone!

Looking for some help with my 2008 Tacoma PreRunner V6 SR5 maintenance. The truck has 73,000 miles and I purchased it new in February 2008. All repairs and maintenance to date performed by the dealership.

Looking for recommendations on where to take my Tacoma for maintenance work in Carrollton Texas or the DFW area.

The dealership recommends the following items based on time/mileage:

    Transmission Fluid Exchange $300
    Rear Differential Flush $130
    Power Steering Flush $140
    Coolant Flush $190
    Drive Belt $280
Spark Plug Replacement 6 Cylinder $435

I don’t mind paying for the work but totally ignorant on if the work is really needed and if the prices are reasonable. I don’t have the knowledge or skills to do the work myself.

Thank you for hanging in there with me!!

There are several recommended shops around DFW.

    Goode’s off road
    Tandem off road
    The Tread Depot

Any should be able to give you a quote for that work, but I don’t think all of it would be required.

Does the truck currently drive fine? Any unusual noises or errors?

Thank you so much for your response!
Truck drives fine, no unusual noises.

Technician made the recommendations based on time and/or mileage.

    Again, many thanks, much appreciated!

Well. Not super astronomically high for a dealer. At that price the spark plugs better be iridium. The accessories serpentine belt is high but it’s the dealer. Don’t feel bad about not tipping the mechanic.

Ha, I had the same reaction to the spark plugs estimate!
