I've been battling a P0303 on my Tacoma for awhile now. I bought it back in Nov from a less than ideal dealership. Truck is a V6 4x4 5spd with 262k miles on the odo

Swapped sparkplugs, coils, and ran new spark plug wires on 1,3, and 5. Still got the misfire so I went with MotorWest rebuilt fuel injectors, truck runs miles better now but still has a misfire especially with heavy throttle.

Should I take the truck in to see if it's a head gasket or cracked head? Truck does burn coolant only on start up, after it warms up it goes away. Truck does not overheat

You could get a combustion leak detector that goes on to the radiator for around $30 and test yourself. Or if you have an air tank and air compressor there are more useful tools for not much more. You could also peek into the chamber and see coolant possibly but that’s a pretty common symptom of those problems. Sorry you got a lemon and Welcome to TW. Same thing happened to me when I got my truck turned out to be a cracked head.

I'll have to look into those options. Never had issues like this with my '99 and '00 4Runners. I guess they ironed out the kinks by those model years of the 5vz
